Ludwig is able to breathe fire, shoot electrical charges from his fingertips, teleport, flutter jump, fire magical bolts from his scepter, and has recently been shown to know how to operate a Lakitu cloud. What sets him apart is his wild blue hair and his overbite, which is a single fang in the center of his upper lip. Like most of the Koopalings, he has a spiked shell, yellow scales, and the ability to breathe fire. Despite this selfish and standoffish attitude, he still secretly cares deeply for his siblings. He is also often seen reading, being quite fond of that and other quieter activities. He'll often betray the other Koopalings to save himself. Ludwig is often showcased as self centered and arrogant. He is also mean to Alex Ember Koopa, but not always. However, it is rumored that he had once developed a gruesome grudge towards Junior, stated in the Super Mario Madness instruction booklet.
He prefers being around Bowser Jr., thinking he is very cute but also believing he's in his way because Bowser likes him a little more, and frequents around Roy. Today, at age 28, he is known to enjoy composing what he calls "Koopa Symphonies" and being mean. Back in 2008 when he was 15, he was a mad scientist who had the nickname Kooky. Ludwig is considered the most intellectual and intelligent of all of the original Koopalings.
